I'm pretty sure as long as it doesn't directly involve their daily lives, they won't give us a second glance."

"desc": "- A canned product that gives the user an experience never before had, simply by eating the contents.\n- From what I can tell, the raw ingredient is produced in a place called \"Grand Magasin Sisyphe\" and the Canneries connected to it.\n- Apparently there's a mass-produced version of this product, made by mixing all sorts of information with the base ingredient. They give intense and stimulating experience when consumed, and in N Corp., eating these mass-produced Canned Experiences is considered a form of entertainment like going out or dining in a restaurant.\n- Uh... But didn't some of the Identities we use drive Nails into people to harvest something from them and make Canned Experiences with it? And if this Sisyphe place is \"producing\" the raw ingredient, then...\n- The thought gave me the creeps, if I'm being honest. I did ask Meursault about it, but he said Kromer and her Inquisitors had an outdated way of doing things... which is apparently almost never an option these days.\n- Meursault read my note. The way he spoke was quite insistent—he actually <i>emphasized</i> that the cans don't provide any dreams or experience. Then what do they really give? Memories? What separates a memory from an experience?\n- There are times when I peek into the Sinner's memories, but those memories don't come from my own experience. Still, in that precise moment I glimpse a memory, can't I say I'm experiencing it too? Or... not?\n- ... Maybe this isn't a question I can answer now."

"desc": "- Moses, Team Leader of LCD On-site Investigative Reasoning (OSIR) Team, conducted research that suggests a Distortion phenomenon progresses through three stages: Early, Middle, and Late, like a disease. Hohenheim also once said that the fate of an Abnormality awaits at the end of the Distortion phenomenon. Does that mean that once the symptoms get worse beyond the late stage, the Distortion turns into an Abnormality?\n- Ezra mentioned in passing that there's also something called an \"Incubation\" stage—but I don't think that distinction makes much difference if you can't directly see or feel the warning signs of a Distortion phenomenon.\n- The Distortions we've encountered so far were all people turned into monstrous entities... But the Distortion phenomenon we were asked to handle this time looked more like its namesake—a \"phenomenon\" that covered an entire street. Ezra says it's called a \"Location-type Distortion.\"\n- After completing the contract, I was able to hear more about how a Distortion can encroach upon its environment. I think the Sinners and I have seen that happen before. There were times when the scenery around us changed even though we didn't enter the Fathoms of someone's Ego or the Dungeon of the Fathoms.\n- Actually, didn't the same kind of thing happen with people who Effloresced their E.G.O...? I wonder what the difference is."

"desc": "- I learned a little more about S Corp. through Bamboo-hatted Kim and Aeng-du's memories.\n- S Corp. is said to be a Wing run by three Court Circles: Sal, Pi, and Ppyeo. The \"Pi\" Circle, the faction Kim was part of, seems to have lost considerable influence, with the \"Sal\" and \"Ppyeo\" Circles colluding.\n- Yi Sang says most of S Corp.'s scientists and technicians belonged to the \"Pi\" Circle. That's probably why the old League of Nine Littérateurs had to escape to T Corp.—due to an internal power struggle.\n- Runaway residents are hunted down and brought back to S Corp. by Fixers called \"Ch'unokkun.\" These refugees seem to be referred to as \"Nobi,\" sometimes...\n- I don't think the term carries the same context as the miner \"slaves\" we saw in the underground of J Corp. casino... but I've yet to pin down what sets them apart yet."

"desc": "- When it was involved in a Syndicate Strife against the Kurokumo Clan, the Blade Lineage was apparently split into two groups.\n- One group were those who dreamed of returning to S Corp. someday—the people who had been with Bamboo-hatted Kim since back in S Corp.\n- The other group was made of people who sought only the liberty to live by their sword. Kim said that returning to S Corp. was not much of a priority for Salsus who earned their keep by brandishing their swords.\n- And Kim Distorted... in the middle of all that, losing both sides. Those who chose to remain with him were killed by their own leader, and with the Blade Lineage so diminished, the Salsus who had no clear purpose left him and drifted away.\n- Aeng-du's the only one who stayed by him until the end. And now, she's become an official member of the LCD.\n- The Mentor survives still, but calling the Blade Lineage an organized Syndicate may be a bit of a stretch now."

"desc": "- LCD's On-site Investigative Reasoning Team resolves the Distortion phenomenon by searching for what they call \"Inflection Points\"—in the process of which they reason out and investigate the cause of the Distortion, the situation around it, and the nature of the power it may have gained due to those circumstances.\n- Meanwhile, the Bus Team's method is to open the Dungeon of the Fathoms to directly peer into the Distortion's past, or simply Suppress it using force until it turns back. And since this can't even be attempted without me, I suppose it can't be helped that Moses's team has to work in their own way.\n- That said, finding these \"Inflection Points\" is, apparently, a task that requires a huge amount of time without Moses, who can observe the progress and warning signs of the Distortion phenomena with the naked eye. I'd say that's another kind of power irreplaceable for their team, though in a completely different direction from mine.\n- Hmm... Now that I think about it, what would I look like through Moses's eyes? She said she saw \"a glass-like sword of many edges\" in Ryōshū's case. Considering the events that transpired following Moses's observation... maybe she could give me some clue about who I was before I lost my memories."

"desc": "- E.G.O manifested by one's own self, rather than being extracted from Abnormalities.\n- Moses's pipe can alleviate mental strain through white smoke, and the scabbard Araya turned into can select which of Ryōshū's memories are cut off by the Arayashiki when she uses the blade. This leads me to believe that E.G.O are not always combat-oriented.\n- If anything is shared between extracted E.G.O and Effloresced E.G.O, it's that they seem to take the form of weapons, armor, or tools, without exception. This seems to be where they differ most from Distortions, which transforms and warps the human body.\n- Sora, the Index Apprentice of the House of Spiders, said that one needs an \"unshakable conviction about what's good and evil\" to Effloresce their E.G.O. When I think of Ahab and Dongrang, though... that conviction doesn't necessarily have to be \"right,\" I suppose.\n- The E.G.O Bamboo-hatted Kim Effloresced at the end seemed somewhat unstable. Does that mean he's still lacking conviction? Then how could he even manifest one to begin with?\n- Ishmael conjectured that while Kim may still lack a conviction of his own, and is mired in fear and anxiety... he's slowly taking steps toward the direction he chose, and that may have helped manifesting his E.G.O. If so... perhaps a person whose Efflorescence is unstable might someday Distort again once they are devoured by conviction and anxiety instead of mastering them."
